James Homer Johnson, 88, of Live Oak, Florida passed away Thursday, April 3, 2008, at his home in Live Oak, Florida. The Soper, Oklahoma native had resided in Live Oak, Florida for the past 12 years. James was a sergeant in the U.S. Army and had retired from the Welfare Department in Pennsylvania. He was Protestant by faith.

Survivors include one son, James Johnson of Collegeville, Pennsylvania; two sisters, Judy Johnson of Dallas, Texas and Jane Price of Little Rock, Arkansas; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Finalization was by cremation.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
