Lady ‘Dogs end season well

The Lady ‘Dogs ended their regular season with a 10-9 record defeating the Lady Panthers of Newberry on Thursday, Oct. 23. The Lady ‘Dogs won the first two games, 25-17 and 25-13. The Lady Panthers defeated the Lady ‘Dogs in a tough third game 25-27. However, the Lady ‘Dogs battled back in the fourth game to win 25-16. Leading the Lady ‘Dogs were Anitra Jones and

Kemberlee Beaty. Jones had 16 service points, three aces and five kills. Beaty had 12 service points, three aces and eight kills. Also contributing to the win were Natalie Pecina with 11 service points, five aces, six dinks, and 16 assists; Leslie Wainwright with eight service points, two aces and three kills; Debbie Hett with seven service points, one ace and two kills and Nicole Roper

with seven service points and two aces.

The JV Lady ‘Dogs also defeated the Lady Panthers of Newberry 25-11 and 25-8. Amber Morgan and Brittney Shearer led the JV Dogs. Morgan had 11 service points, three aces and three kills. Shearer had 10 service points, four aces, one kill and three assists. Also contributing to the win were Rachel Morgan with nine service points, one ace and one kill and Kayla Ratliff with three aces.

The Lady ‘Dogs traveled to Middleburg to face Clay High on Oct. 27 for the first round of District’s.
