No injuries were reported when a Suwannee County school bus with 39 children on board struck the rear of an SUV on 11th Street Tuesday afternoon.

The bus, driven by Misty Ann Voss of 8583 150th Trail, Live Oak, struck the SUV while attempting to turn east onto 11th Street from Blackburn Avenue, Live Oak police reports indicate. The 2007 Chevrolet SUV, driven by Tanya Crain of Live Oak, was stopped on 11th Street waiting for another vehicle to turn north onto Houston Avenue. As Voss turned onto 11th Street, a mirror on the front of the bus hit the SUV’s rear window, shattering it, reports show.

Voss reportedly told officers that she saw the SUV and applied the brakes but that the bus rolled farther than she thought it would.
