James Bryan “J.B.” Sampson, Jr., 68, of Live Oak, ended his earthly journey and entered is heavenly home on August 29, 2009. A proud Florida native, J.B. grew up on the family dairy farm in Mango, and, aside from his family, farming was his lifelong passion. Throughout his life, he served in various leadership roles in agriculture and insisted that “if a job is worth doing, it’s worth doing right!” A loving son, brother, husband, dad, and poppy, he cherished his family and loved nothing more than to be surrounded by them. For those who knew and loved him, J.B. was known for his generous spirit, incredibly strong will, and the twinkle of joy and humor in his eyes. J.B. is survived by his precious mother Blanche Sampson; his beloved sister Joy Kinney; his baby brother Gene Sampson; his loving wife of 35 years Lucy Sampson; his children Jimmy and wife Bonnie, Kenny, Reneé Miley, Brad and wife Cindy, Kim Pollock and husband Johnny, Tina Sarmiento, and Mika Robinson and husband Clint; as well as twelve grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his father James Bryan Sampson, Sr. and his brother Roy Sampson. The family will receive friends from 10am-12pm, with services following at 12:00, Thursday, September 3, 2009 at Landmark Baptist Church, 6021 Williams Rd, Seffner. www.gardenofmemoriestampa.com.
