Betty Moore
NAYLOR — Betty Moore, 69, of Naylor, passed away Friday, Aug. 31, at her residence from an apparent heart attack. She was born in Berrien County and had lived in Lanier County all her life. She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and sang with the choir of First Baptist Church. A daughter, Rhonda Jane Moore, and her parents, Wille D. and Janie DuBose, preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Virgil Moore, of Naylor; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Elvin Andrews of Naylor, and Debbie and Tommy Simpson of Lakeland; two sons and daughters-in-law, John David and Becky Moore of Naylor, and Bob Moore, of Naylor; grandchildren, Travis and Blake Andrews, Will Simpson, Thompson Moore, and Judson and Whitney Moore; two sisters, Jeffie Eaton of Steinhatchee, Fla., and Helen McCloud of Lake Park. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. today in the First Baptist Church, Lakeland, with burial following in Good Hope Cemetery. Mrs. Moore will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the services. — Music Funeral Home, Inc.
Madie Spruill, 66, 3700 Northcliff Lane, Valdosta, died Aug. 30, 2001, at her residence. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 p.m. at the Oracles of Deliverance Church with the Rev. Marilyn Thomas officiating. Burial will follow on Wednesday at the Beaver Dam Cemetery in Laurel Hill, N.C. — Harrington Funeral Home, Inc.
