VALDOSTA – Almost Home Charities hosts its Second Annual “Crafters for a Cause” 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, March 16.
The event will be held at Mathis City Auditorium, 2300 N. Ashley St., organizers said.
The indoor craft show is free to the public and will feature a wide variety of handmade items including jewelry, paintings, ceramics, clothing, handbags, accessories, birdhouses, soap, candles, pet products, canes and fresh baked goods.
Concessions of Starbucks coffee, hot dogs, chips and Pepsi beverages will be available, organizers said. In addition, young entertainers from Lowndes High School will individually perform during the show – David Bowyer (saxophone), Pamela Dunblazier (guitar and vocals), and Joyce Liu (piano), organizers said.
Johnny and Susan Dukes, Vicki Gay, Fay Hyatt of Kaleidoscope Gallery and Emporium, Kay Jennett, ReMax Valdosta, Southeastern Credit Union and Western Auto sponsored the expenses for the event, organizers said.
“Their generosity enables AHC to donate 100 percent of the booth rental fees back to seven local charities – BARC Humane Society, Food Pantry at the Hahira Church of God, Girls on the Run, Little Actors’ Theatre, Little Actors Theatre, Quola and Shiloh Equine Outreach Rescue and Retirement,” organizers said.
The majority of the nonprofit organizations will be present at the show. AHC encourages the public to visit Crafters for a Cause in support of these charities and the participating vendors.
