VALDOSTA — Silver Eagle Jewelry recently hosted its ribbon cutting ceremony, marking its new Chamber membership. Manager Joy Eason was enthusiastic about being incorporated into the local business community.

“It was very exciting to be part of and share this moment with everyone that attended,” Eason said.

Although they opened last November on Black Friday, Eason wanted to host an official opening that would allow Silver Eagle to become more visible within the community. The ribbon cutting ceremony marked its official grand opening in Valdosta.

“I believe this will  bring positive attention to Silver Eagle Jewelry,” Eason said.

Eason said she was inspired by her husband to create a business that would be fun.

“At the expense of having two teenage daughters, I wanted to sell fashion products at an affordable price,” Eason said.

She saw an opportunity to open a boutique selling a variety of items that include fashion scarves, hats, pocketbooks, jewelry and clothing. Eason wanted to give something back to the community and provide fashionable and affordable options for everyone.

“Feeling and looking beautiful should not be expensive,” she said.

Silver Eagle Jewelry is located at 3003 Bemiss Road and is open from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays.
