Valdosta CPA firm to sell lemonade to fund childhood cancer research

- The BRD Valdosta staff will raise money for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at 3006 N. Patterson St.
VALDOSTA – The BRD Valdosta staff will run a lemonade stand for charity on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Stop by the office at 3006 N. Patterson St. from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day to get a glass of lemonade for a donation to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer.
“Working at an old-school lemonade stand is a fun way to raise money for a worthy cause,” said CPA Janine Pendleton, the BRD branch manager. “Besides, it’s hot outside, and who doesn’t love lemonade?”
Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer is a national non-profit organization dedicated to raising funds for childhood cancer research. Every year at this time, individuals and businesses across the country put up lemonade stands and sell lemonade for donations. All proceeds go to the foundation.
“We hope it will be a very busy day,” Pendleton said. “BRD wants to give as big of a donation as possible to help find cures for these children.”
