Wallace is one of three people selected by Internet voters as this year’s inductees to the Fan Hall of Fame. Internet voters also elected Canaan Sandy and Barbara Rust to the Fan Hall of Fame.

A ceremony will be held next year in Bristol, Tenn., to honor Wallace and his fellow inductees, according to fanhalloffame.com The date has yet to be announced.

Wallace, 18, learned he would be inducted into the Fan Hall of Fame Monday while flying to San Diego, Calif. A photo of him as the Georgia Joker taken after the Georgia-Florida game landed him two round-trip tickets to California. He was thrilled to learn he would be inducted during his plane flight.

“I’ve really enjoyed this but the entire thing is all for the Dawgs,” he said. “It’s been such a blessing. All of the people in Valdosta who voted for me. … It brings another title back to TitleTown.”

Wallace is the son of Mike Wallace, a podiatrist, and Carol Wallace, a Valdosta High School teacher. He is a triplet along with brothers Austin and Doyle and has a sister Madalyn.

A Valdosta High School graduate, 6-foot-5 Pierce is a UGA freshman.

He said earlier this month, he developed the Georgia Joker upon joining the UGA Spikes Squad. The Spikes wear spiked shoulder pads and body paint to the games, but they each paint their faces differently.

Wallace is a Batman fan, who “used to quote Batman every day in high school.” He chose Batman’s arch-enemy, the Joker, as the inspiration for his Spikes make-up.

He found the Georgia Joker’s costume green wig in his sister’s closet at home.

The Joker face gave him a distinct personality among the Spikes Squad. During the first UGA game, ESPN photographed him and posted the photo with the caption: “Georgia Joker is enjoying the Georgia-South Carolina showdown.”
