Brown, Arnold lead No. 7 Trojans past Rebels

JaColby Brown and Omari Arnold rushed for three touchdowns apiece in No. 7 Brooks County’s 49-0 win against Berrien at Raymond Jones Stadium in Nashville on Friday night.

Brown rushed for 132 yards on 16 carries, including a 70-yard TD that gave the Trojans (8-2, 4-0 Region 1-2A) a 6-0 lead in their regular-season finale.

Brown completed 8 of 10 passes for 92 yards and a 30-yard scoring pass to Deon Fountain that made it a 35-0 lead before intermission. He had no interceptions.

Arnold ran for 121 yards on nine attempts. He scored on runs of 3, 44 and 30 yards, including two third-quarter TDs.

The Trojans amassed 385 yards of offense, rushing for 293 yards. They tallied 18 first downs and were 3 of 7 on third-down conversion attempts and were flagged 11 times for 167 yards.

Ken Bennett rushed five times for 63 yards for the Rebels (5-5, 0-4), who played their final game of the season.

Berrien finished with 126 yards of offense with four first downs. The Rebels were 0 of 10 on third-down conversion attempts, turned the ball over once and were penalized nine times for 69 yards.

Brooks County enters the postseason having earned a region championship.
