Upward football registration underway

Bring or mail registration form and fee to First Baptist Church, 607 SW Suwannee Ave. Branford, Florida, 32008.

A time to register is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 18 and Thursday, Sept. 20 from 5 to 6:30 p.m. at the playing area across from First Baptist Church. There will also be a time to register on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Forms may be picked up and dropped off at the Christian Life Center anytime between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Brian Lewis coordinator for this event said, “This league will not interfere with soccer or any other league play. It begins after soccer season.” Lewis also wishes for every child to have a chance to participate financially.

Registration information: The early registration cost per child for flag football and cheerleading is $30, and after Sept. 22, add $10.

Deadline for registration is Sept. 26.

Flag football shorts are included in the registration cost. Scholarships available, and mouth guard required.

Practices begin the week of Monday, Oct. 22, and the first game is Saturday, Nov. 3. Awards celebration will be announced later.
