“A Different Headline” community forum tonight at Greater New Bethel AME Church

As of late, the top news stories across our nation have been the killing of unarmed African-American boys and men. Some of the killings have caused major unrest in cities across our country. A nationwide campaign promoting “Black Lives Matter” has been present in our own community in our churches and civic groups. Our town has been on the national news because of an incident at a local motel. We don’t want any more negative headlines about our community. It’s time for “A Different Headline”!

In a proactive effort to prevent even one senseless killing in our community, officers from our local law enforcement, police and sheriff’s departments, along with community leaders and officials will lead a forum at Greater New Bethel AME Church tonight, Thursday, June 11, at 6 p.m. The church is located at 330 West Avenue in Live Oak.

This is a call for every man and boy! Have you had a run-in with law enforcement that you want to share? Do you have a question? Are you willing to help another brother?

Let’s make “A Different Headline” together!

Sincerely,

Rev. Albert Bivens, Jr., Pastor, Greater New Bethel AMEC

Dr. Tommy Randolph, President, Sons of Allen, Greater New Bethel AMEC
