Hardigree named All-American
MOULTRIE, Ga. — Colquitt County’s Parker Hardigree, who won his second-straight Georgia High School Association Class AAAAAA 1-meter championship in February, again has been named an All-American.
Hardigree is one of just four Georgia divers receiving the National Interscholastic Swim Coaches Association’s All-American honor.
He was named an All-American last year when he won the state diving championship as a freshman.
He repeated his state title as a sophomore this year, out-pointing Norcross High’s Griffin Ramsey for the second year in a row.
Hardigree scored a 511.30 at the Georgia Tech Aquatic Center to hold off Ramsey by 43.95 points.
The state meet drew 30 divers from around the state. Hardigree, who dives for Moss Farms, was the only one from outside the Atlanta area.
The three other male Georgia divers named All-Americans are junior Grant Summers of St. Pius X, senior Anthony Musciano of Kell and senior Owen Moncino of Pace Academy.
