Americana music is underway at third annual Suwannee Roots Revival

LIVE OAK — The third annual Roots Revival is underway with beautiful weather, sunshine and music.

This incredible festival featured Joe Craven & the Sometimers, Dustbowl Revival, Peter Rowan and the Free Mexican Airforce, Oteil & Friends, Jonathan Scales Fourchestra, Sloppy Joe, Sauce Boss, Jon Stickley Trio, Jeff Bradley, LPT, The Grass is Dead and Contra Square Dance instructions with the Dunehoppers and caller Andy Kane all on Thursday’s opening day.

Today is another big day with Belle and the Band, The Lonely Heartstring Band, The Lee Boys, ShinyRibs, The Seldom Scene, Keller Williams’ Pettygrass featuring The Hillbenders, Jon Stickley Trio, Brett Bass & Melted Plectrum, LPT, The Grass is Dead, The Hillbenders, Joe Craven & The Sometimers, Katie Skene & The Cosmic Kind, Shiny Ribs, Yoga with Rhonda Bell, Nikki Talley, Quartermoon, Whetherman, Sauce Boss, Waltz instruction with the Walker Family Band, Tornado Rider, Contra Square Dance Instruction with the Dunehoppers and caller Andy Kane, Donna The Buffalo, Joe Craven, The Corbitt brothers, Nikki Talley & Jason Sharp, SYZYGY, Scales & soloing guitar instruction with Tom Nelly, Performance 101 workshop with Lee Hunter and Jeff Bradley, Rev. Jeff Mosier Banjo workshop and Open Jam workshop with Sloppy Joe.

These artists will perform on the Amphitheater, Porch and Music Hall Stages, at the Dance Tent and on the Music Farmer’s Stage. Yoga started at 9 a.m. in the Dance Tent with music beginning at 10 a.m. on the Porch Stage with Brett Bass & Melted Plectrum. The day will end with Jon Stickley Trio on the Amphitheater Stage and Donna The Buffalo in the Dance Tent. You do not want to miss this

Many vendors are onsite with food and merchandise of all kinds including festival shirts. For the kids there is a Kids Tent featuring Tania & Magic Moon Traveling Circus, Kids parade, Carnival, clowns, bingo and more for the kids, Bill Monroe Shrine and Slopryland stages, LOMAF (Live Oak Music & Arts Foundation to further the love of music among kids) tickets available at the LOMAF tent near the Amphitheater and festival posters are available at the Festival Merchandise Tent.
