Christmas Under the Oaks a success

MAYO — This year’s Christmas Under the Oaks festival and parade brought out a crowd Dec. 8.

The parade, with a theme of “Reason for the Season,” started the festivities.

The Christmas Under the Oaks festival was held at the Veterans Memorial Park following the parade.

The Christmas tree was lit and children were able to visit with Santa Claus.

“The event turned out great,” organizer Kelli Joyner said.

Joyner extended a huge thanks to John and Shelly Nemcovic for the donation of the live Christmas tree and to Schreck and Sons Tree Services for decorating it.
