Berrien High FFA attends Georgia National Fair Cow Show
PERRY — The Georgia National Fair Cow Show was held Oct. 6, 7, and 8 at the Georgia National Fairgrounds in Perry. The Berrien High FFA was represented by three showman, Noah Davis, Macy Taylor and Julia Taylor.
Julia Taylor’s Commercial Heifer, Lula, placed fourth in her weight class. Noah Davis showed three heifers: Bonnie a Charolais Record, Blues Clues a Shorthorn Plus and Maybelline a Chianina. In their weight classes, Bonnie placed first, Blues Clues placed first and Maybelline placed eighth. Macy Taylor’s heifers, Pearl and Demelza also competed. Pearl, a Commercial Heifer, placed ninth and Demelza, an Angus Heifer, placed seventh.
In the steer competition, Julia Taylor’s steer, Bear, placed first in his weight class and continued on to win Reserve Champ for the Limousin breed. Noah Davis’ Maine Anjou steer, Selton, placed first in his weight class. Macy Taylor’s Maine Steer, Israel, placed second in his weight class.
