Ga. Batmen Elite win 10U Springtime tournament

The Georgia Batmen Elite won the Springtime 10U baseball tournament last weekend in Tallahassee, Fla.

The Batmen beat a top Florida team in the championship game and went 4-0 in the weekend tournament, sponsored by Travel Ball USA.

Team members include Tres Ellison (tournament MVP), Kyler Campbell, Dawson Coleman, Gabe Grubbs,  Brody Grubbs, Cason Fletcher, Cole Fletcher (batboy), Zack Roxby, Michael Fletcher (game ball recipient), Ethan Tuten (championship game MVP) and Kannon Plain. Coaches include Mike Fletcher, Jason Grubbs and Scott Fletcher. 

Ellison received the tournament MVP for leading the team with six hits, scoring six runs and having five RBIs. Tuten received the championship MVP for throwing a three-hit shutout while striking out six batters and hitting a long home run in the fourth inning to seal the game. Fletcher received the game ball for pitching a no-hitter with seven strikeouts in the opening game of the weekend and for closing out the championship game on the mound.
