Lafayette recreational football underway

Approximately 138 of Mayo’s finest youngsters are participating in this years Lafayette Recreational Football League. The league is comprised of 75 football players and 63 cheerleaders.

In its 10th year, the Lafayette Recreational Football League consists of five Football Teams, two Flag and three tackle with five cheerleading squads.

Due to the lack of interest with the 6th graders, we have opened the Flag Football League to 2nd graders stated Lisa Walker, Coordinator of the League. The Tackle Football League now includes 4th-6th grade while Flag Football includes 2nd and 3rd grade.

The Tackle Football Teams play one or two times each week on Monday and Tuesday evenings at 7:15. Flag Football Teams take the field each Monday evening at 6:15. Come on out and support our future Hornets!
