S.L. Mason names spelling bee winners

VALDOSTA – S.L. Mason Elementary School recently held its annual spelling bee. Twenty-two students from fourth- and fifth-grade classes participated.

Hannah Garrison won first place, To’neya Denson won second place, and Jamesha Taylor won third place, according to a school press release. The three students participated in the district spelling bee.

Other students participated in the spelling bee.

Fourth-grade participants: Destinee Bailey, Sarah Beth Barham, Aidan Bloodworth, Kharel Carter, To’neya Denson, Chris Gonzalez, Jonah Hambright, Gregory Horton, Imajanae Moses, Janiya Ocasio, Se’Mya Phillips, and Jasmine Roberts.

Fifth-grade participants: Zakiyah Clayborn, Hannah Garrison, Valyncia Holmes, Jatravian Kelly, Tyler Offenberger, Se’mykia Phillips, Indiana Raiford, Jamesha Taylor, Za’korye Ware, and Jamill Williams.
