TIFTON — A routine traffic stop in Omega on June 13 netted more than 80 pills and approximately $800 in cash, according to a press release from the Omega Police Department.
Noe Hernandez of Tifton was pulled over at around 5:50 p.m. on US 319. The release said that the traffic stop happened because an Automatic License Plate reader alerted the officer that the car Hernandez was driving had a suspended registration.
During the traffic stop, the officer found 55 Adderall pills, 26 Percoset pills, 2 Roxy pills and a crystal meth rock.
Hernandez also had almost $800 in cash on his person, according to the release.Chief of Police John Tyson said that several watches were found in the same bag as the drugs, leading them to suspect that Hernandez was either trading them for drugs or accepting them in trade for drugs.
Hernandez was arrested and charged with two counts of possession with intent to distribute, two counts of possession of a schedule II drug, driving with a suspended license, driving with a suspended registration and illegal window tint.
