Three seriously injured in Tuesday morning wreck
Three Suwannee County residents were seriously injured in a vehicle collision around 6:45 a.m., Tuesday morning, the Florida Highway Patrol reported
According to the FHP, Vernon F. Moon, 43, Live Oak and his passenger, Matthew Moon, 21, Live Oak were traveling north on 185th Rd. in a 1999 Buick automobile and had stopped at the intersection of 76th St.
The FHP reports that Britney M. Flowers, 26, Live Oak, was traveling east on 76th St. in a 2006 Honda automobile when Moon proceeded forward and turned into the path of Flowers’ vehicle.
Reports show that the right front of Flowers’ vehicle collided with the left front of Moon’s vehicle, causing the Honda that Flowers was driving to exit the roadway and strike a fence, before reentering the roadway and resting on the westbound travel lane of 76th St. Moon’s vehicle rested facing northwest in the eastbound lane of 76th St., reports show.
Flowers, Matthew Moon and Vernon Moon suffered serious injuries and were transported to Shands Live Oak, FHP reported.
All three occupants were wearing their seat belts.
Vernon Moon was charged with violation of right-of-way.
