COOK COUNTY — A four-month undercover operation by law enforcement agencies across South Georgia culminated Wednesday morning in one of the largest drug busts in Cook County in recent memory.

Steve Turner, South Georgia Drug Task Force commander, said agents dealt with about 40 cocaine and marijuana drug dealers throughout the county. The operation targeted mainly street-level and middle-level drug offenders, Turner reported.

Other agencies participating in the bust were the State Drug Task Force, Cook County Sheriff’s Office, Adel, Sparks and Lenox police departments, the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, Georgia State Patrol and the Department of Corrections Special Operations Unit.

Arrests and charges are as follows:

— Pedrum Slater, 18, of 509 N. Pine St., Adel, sale of crack cocaine.

— Corey Tippins, 24, of 703 N. Popular St., Adel, three counts of sale of cocaine.

— Timothy Walker, 20, of 301 Bryant St., Sparks, sale of marijuana.

— Dempsey Williams, 38, of 213 N. Cedar St., Adel, two counts of sale of crack cocaine.

— David Morrison, 48, of 300 Rentz St., Lenox, two counts of sale of crack cocaine.

— James Pickett, 41, of 213 Tomlinson Court, Adel, three counts of sale of crack cocaine.

— Ricky Reed, 40, of 507 S. Broad St., Lenox, three counts of sale of crack cocaine.

— Tavaris Rolle, 19, of 41 Birch St., Adel, sale of crack cocaine.

— Ivan Jennings, 23, of 307 Railroad St., Lenox, sale of crack cocaine.

— Robert Johnson III, 23, of Bo Ross Road, Lenox, three counts of sale of crack cocaine.

— Clifford McCormick, 53, of 700 Glendale Trailer Park, Lot No. 20, Adel, sale of crack cocaine.

— Andy Meeler, 35, of 403 College St., Sparks, sale of methamphetamine.

— Charlene Moore, 24, of 106 1/2 Cauldwell St., Sparks, sale of crack cocaine.

— Vance Durden, 41, of 1000 N. Elm St., Adel, sale of crack cocaine.

— Stacy Woods, 25, of 805 Chestnut Drive, Adel, sale of crack cocaine.

— Terrance Andrews, 17, 302 Alabama St., Sparks, sale of crack cocaine.

— Tony Carnegia, 44, of 707 W. Eighth St., Adel, sale of crack cocaine.

— Rodney Dix, 22, of 509 S. Maple St., sale of crack cocaine.

— Verdette Henley, 40, of 204 S. Oak St., Adel, two counts of sale of crack cocaine.

More arrests are still expected in conjunction with this operation.
