Rita McGill

MACCLENNY, Fla. — Rita McGill, 42, of MacClenny, Fla., passed away Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2003, at MacClenny after a sudden illness. She was born in Lowndes County on Jan. 22, 1961. She was Baptist by faith.

Survivors include her husband, Mickey McGill of Sylvester; daughter, Melinda McGill, Sylvester; son, Jonathan “Chris” Price, Callahan, Fla.; mother, Margie Monk, Melbourne, Ky.; three sisters, Betty Jean Allen, Knoxville, Tenn., Debbie Picone, New Jersey, Pam Mohebbi, Concord, Calif.; brother, Terry Allen, Folkston, Ga.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 16 in the Valdosta Chapel of Music Funeral Services. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Michael Richard Turner

MONROE — Michael Richard Turner, 28, of Monroe died Nov. 13, 2003, at his residence. Graveside funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Monday, Nov. 17 in East View Cemetery in Shellman with the Rev. Olin Johnson officiating.

Mr. Turner was born Dec. 9, 1974, in Randolph County and was a graduate of Randolph-Clay High School. He was employed as an Emergency Medical Technician with the Newton County EMS in Covington and was formerly with South Georgia Medical EMS in Valdosta.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Grimm Turner of Monroe; adoptive parents; Perry and Millie Smith Turner of Cuthbert; father and stepmother, Michael Richard Hodges and Geraldine Hodges of Nicholson; two sisters, Michelle Brooks of Coats, N.C., and Brandy Hanson of Jefferson; and a brother, Timothy Michael Hodges of Jefferson.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. — Lunsford Funeral Home, Cuthbert, Ga.



Jeanette Davis

Jeanette Davis, 66, of Quitman passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at Glen-Mor Nursing Home in Thomasville. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by Washington Funeral Home of Quitman.



Charles L. Phillips Sr.

Charles L. Phillips Sr., 56, of Lakeland, passed away Friday morning, Nov. 14, 2003, in Hillsville, Va., from an apparent heart attack. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced by Music Funeral Services, Lakeland.



Martha Postell

Martha Postell, formerly of Brooks County, passed away Thursday, Nov. 13, 2003, at the Pine Lake Nursing Home in Greenville, Fla. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by Washington Funeral Home.



Linnie Lee Smith

Linnie Lee Smith, 92, of Jasper, Fla., passed away Friday, Nov. 14, 2003, at Suwannee Valley Nursing Center in Jasper. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Harry T. Reid Funeral Home, Jasper, Fla.
