Bonnie Greene Rogers
LAKE PARK — In loving memory of Bonnie Greene Rogers, 74, of Lake Park, who died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at the Lakehaven Nursing Home. She was born on Sept. 23, 1929, in Berrien County to the late Floyd J. and Clara Mae Fender Greene and had lived in Lowndes County most of her life. Mrs. Rogers was a homemaker and a Baptist.
Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Partricia and Ferral Monier of Baton Rouge, La., Irene and Les Smith of Valdosta, two sons and a daughter-in-law, J. L. and Joan Rogers, Howard Rogers all of Lake Park, a very special devoted friend; Samuel McMurray of Lake Park; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, John L. Rogers and eight brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004, in the McLane Lakewood Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Henry Cannington officiating. Burial will follow in the Lake Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. — McLane Lakewood Funeral Home of Lake Park.
Virginia Futch
CECIL — Virginia Futch, 86, of Cecil, formerly of Cincinatti, Ohio, died Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in an area nursing facility.
She was born in Chattanooga, Tenn. on January 21, 1918, to the late Lacy E. Sr. and Jewel Wright Futch. She grew up in Valdosta and was a graduate of Valdosta High School. Miss Futch served in the U. S. Army during World War II and lived most of her adult life in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Survivors include two brothers and a sister-in-law, Herman J. Futch of Cecil and Robert M. (Bob) and Lawanna Futch of Lake Park, four nieces, Marcia Jordan, Judy Butler, Carol Blanton and Lisa McGilvray and two nephews, Rusty Futch and Matt Futch. She was preceded in death by three brothers, L. E. Futch Jr., James H. Futch and Julian R. Futch.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. today at Sunset Hill Cemetery with Rev. David Jordan officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 1 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. –Carson McLane Funeral Home.
James Michael ‘Mike’ Howell
James Michael ‘Mike’ Howell, 45, of Valdosta died Friday, Feb. 6, 2004, of a sudden illness. Mr. Howell was born on April 16, 1958, in Lowndes County to James Vernon Howell and the late Sandra Clayton Crumbley. He was a plumber.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Vernon and Carol Howell of Valdosta, two brothers, Bobby L. Howell of Jacksonville, Fla., and Steven D. Howell of Valdosta, three sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Virgil Montgomery of Naylor, Terri and Donnie Meitz, Angela and Matt Thomas all of Jacksonville, Fla., one stepsister and stepbrother in law, Beverly and John Baltrus of Lake Park, one stepbrother and stepsister-in-law, Randy and Jena Dalton of Richmond, Va., many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Sandra Clayton Crumbley.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004 in the chapel of Carson McLane Funeral Home. The family will receive friends following the service. — Carson McLane Funeral Home.
Jimmy Gosier
Mr. Jimmy Gosier, 82, of Quitman passed away on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, at the Brooks County Hospital in Quitman. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home of Quitman.
Frank T. Jefferson III

Willie Davis
Mr. Willie Davis, 63, of Live Oak, Fla., passed away on Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004 at the Crestwood Nursing Home of Valdosta after a brief illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time but will be announced later by the Stevens-McGhee Funeral Home of Quitman.
Judy Clark
Judy Clark, 59, of Valdosta, formerly of Perry County, Ky., passed away early Sunday morning in South Georgia Medical Center after a lengthy illness. Funeral arrangements are incomplete and will be announced later by Music Funeral Services of Valdosta.
