Minnie Lee Rice

RAY CITY — Minnie Lee Rice, 74, of Ray City died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005, at South Georgia Medical Center.

She was born on Oct. 2, 1930, in Echols County to the late James Walter and Ola Estelle Eddy Permenter. She was a homemaker and member of First Baptist Church of Ray City.

She is survived by her husband, Reva Leland Rice of Ray City; four sons and daughters-in-law, Wendell and Linda Rice, Gray, Tommy and Lynn Rice, Larry and Sheila Rice, Steve and Mim Rice, all of Ray City; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Iduma Smith, Madison, Fla., Vera Henderson, Statenville; and one brother, Walter Permenter, Mayday. She was preceded in death by two brothers and three sisters.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005, at First Baptist Church of Ray City with the Rev. Lee Graham officiating. Burial will be held in Beaver Dam Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 4 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 7-9 p.m. — Lovein Funeral Home



Robson Garfield Rice

VALDOSTA — Robson Garfield Rice, 69, passed away early Sunday morning, Jan. 30, 2005, at his residence in Valdosta. Mr. Rice was a native of West Virginia, but lived the majority of his life in Ohio, where he retired from LTV Steel.

Mr. Rice was the son of the late Roy Calvin Rice of Fayetteville, W.Va. He is survived by his mother, Ivy Rice of Fayetteville, W.Va.; his daughter and son-in-law, Robin L. and Anthony P. Stankiewicz of Valdosta; son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth R. and Charlotte Rice of Medina, Ohio; son and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. and Debra L. Rice of Broadview Heights, Ohio; daughter, Sharon L. Rice; grandchildren, Melissa D. Stankiewicz, Amanda N. Stankiewicz, Jessica M. Komisar, Julia S. Rice, Jayna L. Rice, Jeremiah K. Rice, Jacob T. Rice, Jeffrey T. Piorkowski, Matthew R. Wolfe and Lucas A. Wolfe; sister and brother-in-law, Jennie Lee and Herman Henson of Virginia; sister and brother-in-law, Peggy and Roger Bryant of Fayetteville, W.Va.; brother and sister-in-law, James and Donna Rice of Fayetteville, W.Va.; brother and sister-in-law, Roy C. and Celina Rice of Oak Hill, W.Va.; sister, Linda S. Fiore of Concord, N.C.; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 3, 2005, at the Hughes Memorial Park in Fayetteville, W.Va.
