Knife wielding man goes to jail

An altercation between a Wellborn man and his girlfriend has landed him in jail for threatening her with a knife, Suwannee County Sheriff’s Office reports show.

Todd Jay Brown, 41, 1108 12th Place, Wellborn, was arrested on Nov. 29, as a result of the incident that occurred late in the evening on Nov. 22.

Authorities say that while engaged in an altercation with his girlfriend, Brown grabbed the victim and threw her on the ground. He then approached her with a knife, stating that he would kill her.

Brown was arrested on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (domestic violence), battery (domestic violence) and failing to appear on a previous charge of unlawful speed.
