Rosa Lee Anderson

Rosa Lee Anderson was born on Jan. 7, 1938 in Valdosta to the late Horace Anderson and Sally Hawkins Anderson.

She was known to many as Miss Rose and was deeply  committed to her family. To her grandchildren she was caring, to her friends she was comforting, warm and always there, her kindness enriched all who knew her. She was a devoted member of Jackson Drive Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by one son Tony Anderson; nine brothers; two sisters; one grandson 1st SGT Michael Anderson; one great-grandson T.J. Jackson.

She leaves to cherish her memories, three loving daughters,  Ella Jackson (Clyde), Wanda Everson (James) and Angela Anderson; three granddaughters, Alexis Christopher, Toni Christopher and Ebony Christopher; five grandsons, Darrell Jackson (Cindy), Troy Jackson (Crystal), Kevin Jackson (Kelly) of Atlanta, Anthony Anderson  and Marshun Lane (Angie); three sisters, Blanche Harris of Miami, Fla., Alma Wade (Johnny) and Willie Mae Smith; one brother, T.C. Anderson; sister-in-law, Lorraine Anderson of St. Petersburg, Fla.; granddaughter-in-law, Mona Anderson of Austin, Texas; 11 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; Glenn Reed whom she thought of like a son; a loving niece, Senora Anderson and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends of the  family.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, Jan. 28, 2012 at 3 p.m. at River Street Church of Christ. Bro. Eric Cureton, Min. and Bro. James Morrison will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset Hill Cemetery. — Scott And Roberts Mortuary
