2014 Brain Bowl Team honored

The Suwannee Academic Boosters recognized the 2014 Brain Bowl Team during its May student recognition banquet on Thursday, May 15.

Joe Flanagan, Suwannee Academic Boosters president welcomed those attending, recognized sponsors and introduced guests.

Following the invocation by President-elect of the Suwannee Academic Boosters John Hendrick, Flanagan explained the honorees’ accomplishments and made individual presentations to each.

Speaker Andrew Lang, Suwannee High School graduate 2003 urged the team to use the collegiate experience to  “learn who you are, learn what you love and and learn how to solve problems.” Lang was on the Brain Bowl Team when he attended SHS for three years. Lang graduated from Duke University in 2007 and is now a math teacher and college advisor at Melody Christian Academy.
