Leo Michael Walker 

Aug. 15, 2014 

Master Leo Michael Walker 9, went to be with the angels on Aug. 15, 2014. he had made Live Oak his home after moving there from Jennings, Fla.; he enjoyed watching the movie “Cars” and his favorite character Lighting Mcqueen, going for walks in his stroller with his brother, eating and his chocolate milk. His monkey “Rue” and his school Greenwood in Jasper, Fla.; he was full of life and enjoyed it to the fullest.

He is preceded in death by his father Michael Edward Walker, his paternal grandmother Mary Gaffney and maternal grandmother Deborah Sheppard.

He is survived by his mother Kimberly Walker, Live Oak, Fla.; his brothers Dustin Baxley and Elijah Walker of Live Oak, Fla.; Michael Baxley, Jr. and Jared Baxley (Samantha) of Mayo, Fla.; his sisters Alexis Walker and Meranda Walker of Savannah, IL; and Kaelin Walker, Live Oak, Fla.; his aunts Jennifer Peeler (Bubba) Live Oak, Fla.; and Laurie Brown (John) White Springs, Fla.; and a host of family that also survive.

Funeral services to honor Leo will be held Saturday Aug. 23, 2014 at the White Springs Congregational Holiness Church at 3 p.m. with Reverend Veronica Thomas officiating. Visitation with the family will be held Friday night Aug. 22, 2014 at the church with the family from 6: p.m. until 8 p.m. Interment will follow in the Riverside cemetery in White Springs, Fla. Naomi Mayville Tinstman-Mesta-Fradenburg 

Feb. 28, 1926 – Aug. 17, 2014  

Naomi Mayville Tinstman-Mesta-Fradenburg born Feb. 28, 1926, in Pleasant Lake, Indiana, to Arthur and Irma Tinstman. After high school she attended beauty school in Fr. Wayne, IN. She married Fancis Mesta and had three children,(Mary, Jean, and Frank) living in Pleasant Lake IN. After his death she married Wayne Fradenburg and had one son. (Wendell). They were antique dealers in Pleasant Lake until they moved to Bradenton, Fla. in 1965, where they lived for 20+ years, then, returning to Pleasant Lake, Indiana until 2000, when she moved to Live Oak, Fla. to live until her death on Aug. 17, 2014.

She is pre-deceased by one daughter (Mary Harber), one son (Frank Mesta), and  grandson, (Will Harber)

She is survived by one daughter Jean Patterson of Live Oak, Fla.. One son,Wendell Fradenburg (Michelle) of Bradenton, Fla. One son-in-law, Ronnie Harber (Parish, Fla. ), and one daughter-in-law, Kathy Mesta (Pleasant Lake, IN.) ten grandchildren, (Wendy Harber, Cory Harber,(Bradenton, Fla), Steven Patterson, Peter Patterson (Live Oak, Fla.), Stephen Mesta, Jennifer Mesta, Angela Mesta (Pleasant Lake, IN.), Michael Fradenburg, (Dawn) of (Pleasant Lake, IN.) David Fradenburg ,(Bradenton, Fla.) and Emily McCarty (Medina, Oh). Also, twenty-four great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.  

She will be remembered in a memorial service at Good Samaritan Center in Dowling Park, Fla in September.

Ernestine Thomas 

Aug. 16, 2014 

Ernestine Thomas, 85, of Live Oak, Fla. passed away on Saturday Aug. 16, 2014 after a length illness. The Lawtey, Fla. native moved to Live Oak in 1966 from Hendersonville, NC. Mrs. Thomas was a  Real Estate Agent for Poole Reality for almost 20 years and a member of the Suwannee county Fair Board for 20 plus years. Mrs. Thomas also started the 4H Silver Spurs horse riding club and was a member of First Baptist Church, Live Oak, Fla.

Mrs. Thomas was survived by her son: Jay (Kim) Thomas, Live Oak, Fla.; Three sisters: Barbara Casey, Starke, Fla., Gayle Todor, Hollyhill, Fla. and  Reeney Houseman, Jacksonville, Fla.; Four brothers: Fred Moore, Kingsley Lake , Fla., Jim Moore, White Springs, Fla., R.C. Moore, Cooper City, Fla. and Mickey Moore, Lawtey, Fla.; Four grandchildren: Paige Thomas, Chip Thomas, Wesley Thomas and Wyatt Thomas; Caregiver: Marilyn Cupp; She was preceded in death by her husband: J. Wesley Thomas; Son: Jody Thomas; Sister: Ann Andrews.

Julia Marie Bunkley 

Dec. 2, 1933 -Aug. 17, 2014 

Julia Marie Bunkley of Branford, at the age of 80, loving mother and devoted servant of God, passed away Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014, after an extended illness.

Marie was born in Columbia County on Dec. 2, 1933 and graduated from Bell High  school in 1952. She worked much of her life with the Gilchrist County School District. She was devoted to her work with children and was recognized as the employee of the year in 1997.

Marie was a respected member of her community and the Landmark Baptist Church (formerly Magnolia Baptist). Sister Bunkley will be remembered as a devout Christian and a kind and giving soul.

She is survived by her children and their families: Mike and Paula Bunkley, Michele and Mark Edwards, Christie Bunkley and Trina Coggins, Jeremy and Brandy Bunkley. Grandchildren: Hannah Livingston, Jolinda Zinsli, PJ Bunkley, Buck Douglas and Zachary Bunkley. Great grandchildren: Haley Zinsli, Alyssa Bunkley and Ashton Bunkley. Brother, Andy Boswell and sister, Peggy Thomas. Marie is also survived by many nieces, nephews and loyal friends.

She will be welcomed into Heaven by her husband Ernie Bunkley, parents Peg and Josie Boswell, sister Mattie Branch and brother John Boswell.

Visitation was held at Daniel’s Funeral Home on Tuesday Aug. 19 from 6-8 p.m. in Branford.

Services will be held at Landmark Baptist Church on Wednesday, Aug. 20 at 10 a.m. Graveside services will follow at Santa Fe Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Nature Coast Hospice at 150 N. Main St., High Springs, Fla. 32643.

James Walter LeMaster 

Dec. 25, 1951 – July 11, 2014 

James Walter LeMaster, age 62, known to his family as Jimbo, passed away July 11, 2014 in Live Oak, Fla. after a battle with cancer. 

He was born Dec. 25, 1951, in Monticello, Fla. but moved to Fort Myers, Fla. with his family when he was very young. He lived in Fort Myers until he was a teenager. He then moved to Live Oak where he was a long time resident. 

He was the son of the late Dorothy LeMaster DeCastro and was preceded in death by his brother, Bennie Proulx of Live Oak. 

He is survived by two sisters: Maria Wiles (Wayne) of Ft. Myers, Fla. and Madonna Roberts (Vern) of Live Oak, Fla. also numerous nieces and nephews. Jim never had children of his own but dearly loved his nieces and nephews. 

In 1969 Jimmy joined the Army and served in the Artillery 3rd Infantry Division in Vietnam as a Medical Corpsman. Jim was proud of his time in the Army and very proud to have served his country even though at a controversial time. 

He was a member of the Northside Baptist Church of Live Oak and felt close to his church family. 

A memorial service is scheduled at Northside Baptist Church on Saturday, Aug. 23, 2014 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at the Live Oak Cemetery (Veteran’s section).
