Windle Wayne (Bill) Fennell

Windle Wayne (Bill) Fennell, age 70, of Valdosta, died Aug. 10, 2015 at South Georgia Medical Center after a long illness. 

The family will have a private memorial service at a later date. 

Mr. Fennell was born June 16, 1945 in Lowndes Co. to the late Monroe and Audrey Nicholson Fennell.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving as a paratrooper and a ranger during the Vietnam War and after service  was a contractor in the area. 

Survivors include his children, Debora Smith, David Fennell, and Marguerite Fennell Funderburk and her husband, Frank; three brothers,  Monroe “Junior” Fennell and his wife, Wynette, Mack Fennell and John Williams; grandchildren, Justin Smith, Thomas Smith, Jennifer Smith McCann and her husband, Jonathan, Cassey Fennell, Lindsey Pudvah, Alyssa Pudvah, Paul Funderburk and Emma Funderburk; great-grandchildren, Madison Mathew and Riley Ann; many nieces and nephews; and two dear friends, David Williams and Mike Terry. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Polly Mae Davis, Earnest Williams, Carlos Williams and McCoy “Coy” Fennell. — Reflection Cremation & Funeral Service of Tifton is in charge of arrangements.
