Suwannee girls track wins Ron Hall Invitational

JASPER — The Suwannee girls track team took first place out of nine teams at the Ron Hall Invitational on Saturday at Hamilton County High School. The SHS boys squad was third as Trenton took the team trophy.
The Branford girls team placed fourth with the BHS boys finishing fifth.

Candace Abel took first place in shotput for Branford with a mark of 33-08 and was third in discus. BHS sophomore Billy Procko was third in the 800 and fourth in the 1600.
Branford’s Nathan Carrier placed third in discus. Seth Dean finished third in triple jump. Taylor Mae Jones was second in both the 3200 and the high jump.
For Hamilton County, Melvin Brown was fourth in the 200 and AJ Speights finished fourth in the 800.
