Man faces trial in incest, rape case

VALDOSTA — A man accused of sex crimes involving a minor will go to trial in Valdosta in March, according to court documents.

Jeffrey Todd Drake was indicted by the grand jury on charges of rape, incest, child molestation and cruelty to children in the first degree during the jury’s March term in 2017, according to the indictment sheet. Warrants claim one incident took place in May 2017.

The suspect denied the incident occurred, according to court paperwork.

A separate warrant contains allegation stemming from an incident in July of last year. 

The suspect made his first appearance in court on July 3, 2017.

In court documents, he was listed as a “risk to victim.”
