Live Oak man killed in Alachua wreck

ALACHUA — A Live Oak man died Thursday afternoon after rear-ending stopped traffic in Alachua County.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, north-bound traffic was stopped on County Road 235A south of U.S. 441 around 3:15 p.m. Thursday.

A Toyota Corolla, driven by 27-year-old Joshua Martin, rear-ended Eric Milton’s Volvo, which was stopped in the traffic, the FHP report states.
Martin, who is from Live Oak, was transported to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, where he was pronounced deceased.
The crash is still under investigation.
According to FHP, it is not known whether Martin was wearing his seatbelt.
Milton, who is 35 and from Browns Summit, N.C., was not injured in the accident.
