Man in serious condition after home invasion

MOULTRIE, Ga. — A Colquitt County man remained hospitalized on Monday after he was assaulted during a reported Saturday morning home invasion at his Gene McQueen Road residence.
Deputies were dispatched at about 2 a.m. to the residence of Brenda and Willie Robinson in the 1100 block of Gene McQueen Road, according to the Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office.

“Deputies got there, found (Willie Robinson) beat up,” sheriff’s Sgt. Chris Robinson said.
Brenda Robinson told police she was sleeping when two unknown males came into the bedroom.
“She said they zip tied her hands together and started rummaging through the house,” Chris Robinson said. “When she was able to get free she went into the living room where she saw her husband on the floor bleeding.”
He also had been restrained during the incident.
Colquitt County paramedics transported Willie Robinson to Archbold Memorial Hospital in Thomasville.
He was in serious condition on Monday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.
