Clay Brooker Band, Cole Tomlinson Band win Jam audition

The Clay Brooker Band and Cole Tomlinson Band each won spots in the Suwannee River Jam during a Jam audition Friday at the Music Hall. The Bennett Hill band was named a wild card winner.

LIVE OAK — Two out of five bands auditioning Friday in the Music Hall at the Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park for a chance to perform at the 2020 Suwannee River Jam were thrilled to learn onstage they will be among the artists at this year’s Jam.

Chosen to perform at the Jam, set for April 29-May 2 at the Music Park, are the Clay Brooker Band of Gainesville and Cole Tomlinson Band of Baxley, Ga. The Bennett Hill Band of Ft. McCoy was named a wild card winner meaning this band could still perform at this year’s Jam.

Other awesome bands auditioning before a packed house of excited fans were Doc Adams Band of Branford/Morriston and Southern Steel Band of Sopchoppy.

The winners will perform at the 2020 Jam along with bands chosen at a new audition just added and set for March 13 in the Music Hall. That audition will also be for solo artists. Solo artists selected that night will return the next night, March 14, to the Music Hall for the solo finals. Watch for details on how to sign up to be announced soon.

This year’s national artists for the Jam include Toby Keith, LOCASH, Randy Houser, Billy Ray Cyrus, Craig Morgan, Joe Diffie, Maddie & Tae, Parmalee, David Allan Coe, Avenue Beat and Channing Wilson.
