Robert “Bob” Lowe Sr.

April 26, 1929 – Aug. 19, 2013

Robert “Bob” Lowe Sr., 84, born in Live Oak, Fla. April 26, 1929, passed away Aug. 19, 2013. Bob was a Staff Sergeant in the Airforce during the Korean War. He worked in the finance field for 34 years and after retirement served as an Elder for the Seminole Church of Christ for 23 years. 

Bob is survived by his wife, Norma Lowe; son Robert Lowe (Mary Jane Lowe); daughter Kathy Owen (J. Ed Owen); and grandsons, Alex Lowe, J. Eddie Owen, and Max Owen. He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Mae and Marion Hingson.

Wanda Williamson

Sept. 2, 1935 – Aug. 24, 2013

Wanda Williamson age 77, of Dowling Park, Fla., passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville, Fla. following a lengthy illness. The Nichols, Fla. native moved to Live Oak, in 2005 from Mulberry, Fla. She worked in the banking business for many years before opening up her own florist shop, this came about because of her love of working with flowers and making floral arrangements.

She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Williamson, Dowling Park; four sons, Duane Williamson, Chicago, ILL; Bruce (Sherri) Williamson, Live Oak; Doug Williamson, Live Oak; Brian Williamson, Lake City, Fla.; two sisters, Margaret Odom and Noreen Wood both of Keysville, Fla.; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Aug. 27, 2013 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013 at the graveside in the Bixler Memorial Gardens East with Rev. John Harper officiating.

Kenneth Leo Allen, Jr.

Jan. 31, 1928 – Aug. 23, 2013

Kenneth Leo Allen, Jr., age 85, formally of Live Oak, Fla. passed away Friday, Aug. 23, 2013 at his home in Marianna, Fla.  He was a native of Live Oak moving to Marianna twenty years ago to be closer to his family.  He was retired from the U.S. Air Force having served in the Korean War as a Tech Sergeant and was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Marianna.  

He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth “Cotton” Allen and Merle Allen, his sister, Betty Jean Allen.

He is survived by three sons, Ralph (Patricia) Allen, Tallahassee, Fla.; John (Yvonne) Allen, Marianna, Fla.; Kenneth (Denise) Allen, III, Philadelphia, PA and Shirley Curry, Defuniak Springs, Fla.; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 in the Live Oak Cemetery with full military rites.

Allan Joseph Fedor, “A.J.”

June 3, 1949 – Aug. 9, 2013

Allan Joseph Fedor, “A.J.”, 64, passed away on Aug. 9, 2013. He was born June 3, 1949. A.J. was preceded in death by his father, Joe Fedor and is survived by his wife of 21 years, Tracy; son, John Flynn and his wife, Julie; daughter, Jennifer Fedor; four grandchildren; two great grandchildren; his mother, Gladys Fedor Ferry, and brother, Donald Fedor. 

He arrived in Fla. from his birth state of Ohio in 1979, where he made his home in Pinellas County and later retired to White Springs. He was a self-employed innovative modifier of motorized vehicles “extraordinaire”. His friends and family remember him as someone whose loves were simple: his mother, wife, friends and family, making things in his shop, NASCAR and racing in general, Harley’s Western music, Daniel Boone, his Rottweiler’s good parties, fishing and the Suwannee. 

A memorial service will be held at Haven Hospice Suwannee Valley Care Center located on 6036 W. US Hwy 90, Lake City on Saturday, Aug. 31, 2013 at 10 a.m.

Moray Taylor

Aug. 24, 2013

Moray Taylor, 67, Live Oak, Fla. passed away on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 after a short illness. The life long resident of Live Oak was a Veteran of the Korean Conflict while serving in the Army and was a member of Luraville Baptist church. 

Mr. Taylor owned and operated Taylor’s Store in Luraville for thirty plus years. He is survived by his wife of forty-five years: Angie Taylor, Live Oak, Fla.; one daughter: Nancy Taylor, Jacksonville, Fla.; two sons: Ashley Taylor, Live Oak, Fla., Jason Taylor, Live Oak, Fla.; one brother: James W. Taylor, Maryland and four grandchildren. 

Services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28 at Daniels Memorial Chapel with Rev. Chan Perry officiating. Interment will follow in the New Harmony Methodist Church Cemetery.

Prapa Guthrie

Aug. 22, 1930 – Aug. 24, 2013

Prapa Guthrie age 83, of Live Oak, Fla. passed away Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013 at her home. She was born in Bangkok, Thailand moving to Live Oak in 1997 from Zephyrhills, Fla. She was an avid gardener, cook and seamstress and a devoted wife and mother.  She was a member of the Buddhist Meditation Center in Kissimmee, Fla. and was a devout Buddhist.

She is survived by her husband, James Guthrie, Live Oak, Fla.; two sons, Monthree Singsainee and Rapin Sornsong both of Thailand; four daughters, Rin Hogan, Baton Rouge, LA; Lek Sornsong, St. Pete, Fla.; Unchalee Nakajima, Australia; Doon Charoenpan, Leesburg, Fla.; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013 in the Brody Harris Memorial Chapel with Wat Florida Dhammaram officiating.
