Lake Park Winn-Dixie location renovated

LAKE PARK — After renovating the Winn-Dixie on 3200 N. Ashley St. in 2014, Winn-Dixie finished renovations on its Lake Park location earlier this month.

The renovations started last summer and continued throughout 2014 section by section.

Ted White, store director for Lake Park, was there through it all.

“It was very interesting,” said White. “The majority of the work was done at night. It was surprising how quickly they did it.”

The remodeling and renovation added a redesigned deli with a full hot bar and wing bar, as well as an upgraded pharmacy, new floral department and expanded beer section.

The pharmacy can administer four different types of flu vaccines.

New technology was a big focus on the remodel, with customers now able to take advantage of self-checkout and Apple Pay, which allows customers to pay with an iPhone 6 and an Apple Watch.

The renovation also widened aisles and did away with in-aisle displays, improving the flow of shoppers through the store.

The Lake Park Winn-Dixie is located at 1060 Lakes Boulevard.
