LAKE PARK — The City Council considered a $12,500 bid to relocate the Lake Park Civic Center at its Tuesday evening meeting.

The civic center is slowly and unevenly sinking into the ground, city leaders have said.

The bid did not include the cost of laying a foundation and furnishing a footer, which is something the city would have to provide.

At its January meeting, the council looked at bids for repairing the civic center where it stands which ranged from $18,500 to $25,000.

Council members decided to hold off making a decision until more information could be gathered.
