Omega woman hurt in ATV wreck

ELLENTON, Ga. — An Omega woman injured in an Thursday morning ATV accident in Ellenton remained hospitalized in Thomasville that afternoon.

The Colquitt County Sheriff’s Office was notified of the accident at about 3:20 a.m. It occurred in the 100 block of East Berrien Avenue.

When a deputy arrived emergency medical personnel were already at the scene treating 40-year-old Angela Foster, of the 300 block of Jasmine Lane in Omega, reports said.

Jose Martin, of the 100 block of Central Avenue, related to police where the accident occurred. He told the deputy that Foster was pulling another go-cart at the time it occurred, but that he did not actually see the accident.

Foster was transported to Archbold Memorial Hospital, where a hospital spokeswoman said that she was in serious condition on Thursday afternoon.
