Charity ride to help storm victims

ADEL – A “Let’s Help Rebuild Adel” charity motorcycle ride is scheduled to help people affected by deadly storms.
A variety of sponsors have assembled to help organizer Donnie Wilson create the event. On site will be live music from singer/songwriter Colby Allen, 92.9 and 96.7, will be live with Road Dogg Russell Howard and DJ Jermaine and bounce houses and obstacle courses will be available for children, according to organizers.

The event will be held at the Cook County Fairgrounds, Feb. 18, with gates opening at 10 a.m. Ride registration will start at 10 a.m., the blessing of the bikes will occur at 12:45 p.m. and kickstands go up at 1 p.m. Cost will be $20 per bike and $10 per passenger. The ride will be escorted by police.
Car show registration will begin at 11 a.m. with judging at 2 p.m. and awards at 4 p.m. A bass competition will start at 6 p.m. and last until all classes are over. Entry is $20 per car.
Raffles will be held with prizes ranging from coolers to an Xbox One.
