Live Oak man arrested on weapons, assault charges

Danny L. Pridemore, 46, of 7951 Railroad St., Live Oak, was arrested Oct. 9 and charged with improper exhibition of a dangerous weapon, using firearms while under the influence of alcoholic beverages and aggravated assault-domestic violence, jail records indicate.

At about 8:42 p.m. Suwannee County Sheriff’s Deputy Cody McIntyre was dispatched to a residence on Railroad Street in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival he made contact with one of the victims, who said Pridemore had been drinking when they got into a verbal altercation, according to reports. During the argument, Pridemore retrieved his .22 caliber rifle and fired several shots, say reports. Another witness reportedly stated that Pridemore said he was going to show them who’s boss.

Another victim reportedly said she tried to take the gun from Pridemore but that he hit her repeatedly. Pridemore allegedly told her if she didn’t stop he would shoot her, and she said she feared for her life. The other victim stated he was not afraid and that Pridemore just shot into the ground, say reports. Pridemore, when interviewed, stated he had done nothing but was observed to be intoxicated, reports indicate. He was found to have several .22 caliber rounds in his pocket.

Pridemore was arrested and transported to the Suwannee County Jail on the stated charges. Bond was set at $ 7,000 and he bonded through a local bonding agency.
