The Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority has announced the second round of public meetings regarding the Authority’s Comprehensive Master Plan.

“It is an assessment of the current parks and the delivery system,” VLPRA Director George Page. “What we are trying to do is review  the quality of existing programs and facilities that are offered to county residents. We want to identify areas that are exceptional or need improvement, and it gives us a good feel of the pulse of the community.”

The Master Plan meetings will be held at four locations, coming on two separate dates.

The first opportunity for citizens to attend the Master Plan meetings will be April 17, when the VLPRA will hold meetings at the newly opened Mildred Hunter Community Center and the South Lowndes Recreation Center. Both meetings will start at 6 p.m.
