VSU cross country coach resigns

Valdosta State cross country coach Todd Smoot has announced his resignation from the university, effective at the end of the spring semester.

Smoot announced the decision after accepting the Director of Fitness position at the YMCA in Lake Park. He will also continue to serve as the owner and operator of A Course Line, LLC, an event production company that hosts local area runs.

Smoot said the university has already began a search for a replacement coach.
