MOULTRIE, Ga. — The body of a Hispanic man, believed to have been 31 years old, was found at his Colquitt County residence Monday evening.
Colquitt County Coroner Verlyn Brock said Tuesday morning he is still seeking the man’s next-of-kin so he isn’t releasing his identity yet.

Brock said the body was found about 6:30 p.m. Monday in the one-room dwelling at 699 Sardis Church Road, a short distance outside the Moultrie city limits. It will be taken to the GBI Crime Lab in Macon for autopsy, but the cause of death appeared to have been severe trauma. The GBI is investigating the case as a homicide.
Brock said the man was apparently injured during a fight with his roommate. Neighbors said the two had been fighting for an extended period of time.
Several piles of beer cans were visible at the residence, Brock said.
Local law enforcement is seeking the roommate, whom Brock did not identify.
