Rant&Rave for Wednesday, July 13

When are we going to put up a stop light at Inner Perimeter and Statenville Highway? How many people have to die before our city will take action?

I currently attend VSU and I do not see anything wrong with expanding our campus. From the pictures and articles on the Internet, VSU is moving up. The campus will look great and there will still be plenty enough grass for students to play on. I don’t see the big deal.

I just want to say God Bless America because we are able to express ourselves the way we want to. Keep up with the rant and rave because even the silly things someone says makes us think.

I’d like to say a way to go to the Lowndes Co. Sheriff’s Dept. and their detectives for staying on the case of the missing 17 year old girl from Florida. Way to go you guys.

You’re right. Five Points has so many possibilities. Everytime I go by there, or pull into that parking lot, I think of when I was younger and how many wonderful shopping opportunities were at Five Points. Someone bring some great shops back. Five Points deserves to live.

Thanks to Ms. Brown at Burchwood Apartments for all of her hard work. When I went everywhere else to get a place to stay they turned me down but she worked with me. She is a great person and may God bless her.

VSU should have a cap on enrollment. If they don’t put a cap on enrollment, we will have more than a parking problem in this city.

The person who thinks that freedom and security isn’t an inverse relationship obviously isn’t too well read on philosophy. It really depends on how you define freedom, but in the literal sense of the word, more freedoms equal less security. Anarchy is total freedom and no security. As you move further from anarchy, you become more secure.

If you’re not directly related to VSU (i.e. faculty, staff, students, alumni, etc.), then why are you expressing your opinions about the lawn? It has nothing to do with you.

As a VSU employee, I applaud the administration for their plan to develop a pedestrian mall. It is a shame we will lose a small portion of the front lawn but the campus will be more accessible and greener. I applaud the administration’s progressive strategy and planning.

Why do kids in middle schools need cell phones in the first place? I know we live in the technology age, but give me a break. If they have a true emergency at the school, the office should contact the proper people.
